Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440

Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 is a External hard Disk with capacity of 12 TB. A network Attached Storage device, BlackArmor NAS 440 comes with 4 Seagate Hard Disks of 3 TB capacity each, which can be upgraded.

Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 storage server measures 6.30 inch x 8.15 inch x 10.59 inch, weighing 6.16 kg including the hard disks.

Seagate BlackArmor 440 is driven by 1.2 GHz processor, supported by 256 MB RAM. BlackArmor NAS 440 is built for performance, optimising uptime and supporting upto 50 workstations with maximum data integrity. The disks is hot swappable without any tools for the swapping, insertion or removal. This eliminates the need for a shutdown for maintenance or upgrades.

It comes with 4 USB 2.0 ports, with 3 ports in the rear and 1 port in the front of the chassis. The 2 Ethernet RJ-45 connectors are placed on the rear panel of the chassis. A wireless router is required for wireless networking of the storage server. Internally the NAS 440 has 4 SATA II connectors which is used to connect the mounted disks. Seagate BlackArmor uses Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory for network authentication, thus ensuring secure networking of data. The BlackArmor downloads secure data using download server and HTTP/FTP protocols.



BlackArmor NAS 440 comes with critical software for effortless management of the storage server. The list includes BlackArmor Discovery Software for Windows and Macintosh, BlackArmor Backup Software for Windows with 10 licenses, and System Recovery Boot for Windows. Additionally, remote access of the Seagate NAS 440 is powered by Seagate Global Access service. Supported by Event email notifications, and SMART status monitor, the Seagate BlackArmor provides trouble-free management of storage resources. Backup management is simplified with the software that provide incremental, full system, scheduled and automatic backup facilities. With USB based UPS connectivity, power failure shutdown can be automated.

Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 comes with features like DLNA and iTunes media streaming, Mac support and remote web-based access. NAS 440 storage server comes with RJ 45 cable of 2 meters length, AC power cord, Quick Start Guide and Software CDs with licenses. Seagate Black Armor NAS 440 comes with 3 year limited warranty.
